The Story We are a family owned & operated, Louisiana based business located on the Diversion Canal in Saint Amant - and originally from the west bank of New Orleans. In our family - getting our hands dirty is just good, clean fun! About my artwork... I love to get my hands dirty and create. And although most of my artwork is commissioned before I paint it, I also enjoy just playing with the paint and letting it sort of evolve without limitations on outcome. It's all pretty simple... No hidden meanings or deep philosophical ideas. Just things that I find attractive to look at or decorate with. I really believe that life is too short to be serious all of the time, why not surround ourselves with art that makes us feel good? About our candles... After our second daughter was born, we bought a small coffee shop & café in our hometown. We had a romantic idea of a cute little neighborhood business - the quality family time that we would spend there together sipping lattes and greeting our customers. Well, after several years of feeling more than a bit overwhelmed... I couldn't resist the urge to return to more creative endeavors. I did however, notice that everyone loved the way the candles they sold there smelled, but nobody was really crazy about displaying them in their homes. The candles were a style that just did not fit into many decors. That was my lightbulb moment! After much research, the only conclusion was to make my own line of candles! I knew that I wanted super high quality scents, soy blended waxes, and a clean, contemporary look. I also wanted to make sure to use as few chemical additives as possible. Many wasted candles later, after much testing and research, I finally created a formula that burns well, smells awesome and fits most any decor.
