Many of these slates were recovered from southern plantations and estates dating back to the early 1800's. Each one is hand painted and will vary in size and color, but are approximately 10x15. These have been shipped as far as London, England without any damage.
Each of these personalized canvases are painted by hand, onto 18"x18" artists canvas using a mix of oil, acrylic and pastels.
The canvas is stretched around a wood frame with the artwork wrapping around the sides, making it a finished, ready-to-hang piece. The surface is easily cleaned with a soft cloth and children can touch- there is nothing to separate them from the artwork and no glass to break.
Custom color matching is also available at no additional charge and designs can be taylored to fit your decor. $185 including personalization.

All of my artwork is pretty simple... No hidden meanings or deep philosophical ideas. Just things that I find attractive to look at or decorate with. I really believe that life is too short to be serious all of the time, why not surround ourselves with art that makes us feel good?
We are a family operated business located on the Amite River Diversion Canal in Saint Amant, Louisiana and originally from the west bank of New Orleans. I work by appointment only and do not have open studio hours but I can usually respond to emails within a few hours.
