Wedding Painter in South Louisiana

Heirloom Wedding Art Captured from Life and in the Studio

I’m Jessica — a Louisiana-based artist who paints weddings live, on-site, as they unfold and in my studio. Right now, my life is a beautiful mix of graduation caps, blueberry fields and our very first grand baby. As we grow our family farm and wedding venue, Heirloom Fields, I’m staying closer to home and shifting my focus toward Studio Commissions.

I’m trading the travel schedule for the quiet of my studio (well, as quiet as a homeschool house gets!) so I can give your painting the slow, intentional detail it deserves. Even in the studio, I keep the brushwork loose and the energy high—I want your painting to keep that 'live' feel and the movement of the wedding night, just with the added depth and detail that a few extra weeks of focus allows.

While I still take a very limited number of live dates in Baton Rouge, New Orleans and the Northshore, I’m most excited about creating deep, layered heirlooms right here on the farm that feel both beautiful and deeply personal.

The Embrace Collection

Focused on the two of you. These are close-up portraits that really lean into the emotion of the day. I can start one right there at your wedding, or I can paint it in my studio from your favorite photo. Either way, you get that loose, 'live' brushwork I love, just with a little extra time for me to get the faces and the feeling exactly right.

From the Wedding to your Walls

I’m a Louisiana artist through and through. My goal is to catch those 'blink-and-you-miss-it' moments and turn them into something you’ll actually want to live with—not just a formal portrait, but a memory you can pass down. Whether I’m painting live on-site or back in my home studio, I’m focused on the light, the mood, and the people.

Places I’ve Painted

I’ve been lucky enough to set up my easel at some beautiful local spots like Houmas House, Baton Rouge Country Club, The Country Club of Louisiana and the LSU Botanical Garden. I love the specific 'Louisiana feel' of our venues, and I bring that same vibe into every piece I create at home.

A Painting That Tells Your Story

I’m Jessica, and I love catching the movement and the 'real' feeling of a wedding day. Whether I’m at my easel in the middle of your reception or working in my studio among the blueberry fields, my goal is the same: to give you something more than just a picture. I want to give you an heirloom that actually feels like the day you said 'I do.

The Live Painting Experience

There’s something special about watching a painting come to life while the music is playing and the party is going. It’s not a performance—it’s just me, quietly capturing the atmosphere while your guests peek over my shoulder. You get to celebrate, and I get to make sure the feeling of the night stays on the canvas long after the last dance.

Live Wedding Painting Packages

The Intimate Package

Just the two of you.

This is my absolute favorite way to paint. By focusing just on the two of you, I can really lean into the mood and the movement of the moment without getting lost in the crowd. I keep the brushstrokes loose and the background soft, so the whole piece feels like a dreamy, romantic memory rather than a formal portrait.

Because this style is so focused, it’s where I feel most like myself as an artist. It’s perfect if you want something that feels quiet, meaningful, and looks beautiful on a gallery wall at home.

What’s included:

  • The Couple: Just the bride and groom (and the "vibe" of the room).

  • Ready to Hang: Painted on a gallery-wrapped canvas with the edges finished so you don't even need a frame.

The Family Heirloom Package

The story of the people who love you.

"This is for the couple who wants to see their 'village' on the canvas. While the two of you are still the center of the story, I’ll also weave in the people who mean the most—your parents, your best friends, or the wedding party.

I keep the style loose and celebratory, with the crowd and the venue softly painted in so you can really feel the energy of the room. It’s a beautiful way to honor the people who walked the journey with you, all wrapped up in a piece of art that feels like a big, warm memory."

What’s included:

  • The Inner Circle: The two of you, plus your closest family or wedding party.

  • The Crowd: A soft, "impressionist" look at your guests so the room feels full of life.

  • The Setting: The little details of your venue that made the night feel like home.

  • Gallery-Wrapped Canvas: Finished edges so it’s ready to go from my easel to your mantle.

The Legacy Collection

A full set of heirlooms for your home.

"This is for the couple who wants to go all in on the art. Instead of just one painting, we’re creating a whole collection of memories. Along with your main wedding painting, I’ll create a few extra pieces back in my studio—like a sketch of your gown and a painting of your bouquet—so you have a cohesive set of art to display or share with family."

What’s in the collection:

  • Your Main Wedding Painting: (Your choice of the Intimate or Family style).

  • Two Canvas Prints: These are 12x16 replicas of your main painting—perfect for surprising the moms or grandmothers with a gift they’ll actually cry over.

  • The Bridal Gown Sketch: A 16x20 mixed-media piece using acrylic and pastel. It’s a soft, artistic way to remember the dress.

  • The Bouquet Painting: An 18x18 painting of your flowers, designed to fit the colors of your home so you can keep a "piece" of your wedding day in your living room year-round.

Tables are adorned with floral arrangements and a multi-tiered wedding cake is visible. The background features brick walls and wood beams on the ceiling.

What’s Included with Every Painting

Whether we start at the wedding or in the studio, every piece is handled with the same care.

  • A Focus on the Two of You: I make sure the facial details and "the look" are just right.

  • The Medium: Professional oils on gallery-wrapped canvas. It arrives ready to hang, no frame needed.

  • My Signature Style: Loose, painterly brushwork that keeps the energy of the day alive on the canvas.

  • Your Choice of Moment: You pick the scene—the vows, the first dance, or that quiet walk-out moment.

  • A Sense of Place: I love weaving in the details that make your venue unique, like the specific light in the trees or the way your flowers looked.

  • The Best of Both Worlds: Most paintings involve a mix of on-site work and quiet studio time. I include a wrap-up session in my studio to polish the details, and I offer up to two revisions to make sure it’s exactly what you’ve been dreaming of.

  • Built to Last: Once the oil is dry, I apply a professional varnish so the colors stay vibrant for your grandkids to see.

  • Home Delivery: I’ll hand-deliver it locally or ship it safely to your door (usually within 3-4 weeks).

A Thoughtful, Seamless Experience

I love working alongside your photographers and planners to make sure the painting process feels like a natural part of the day, not a distraction. My goal is to stay tucked away at my easel—keeping things calm, respectful, and easygoing so everyone can stay focused on the celebration.

Whether you’re looking for a live painting, a custom studio piece, or just want to follow along with the latest from the farm, I’d love to hear from you.

Want me to add some additional details like the cake, the pets, or even a family member? I can do that!  Contact me to discuss details and make sure that this is the right fit for you.

The painting captures them in a similar pose, with a background of abstract patterns and colors, including gold dots and brushstrokes.
