Live Wedding Painter in South Louisiana

Heirloom Wedding Art Captured from Life and in the Studio

I’m Jessica — a Louisiana-based artist who paints weddings live, on-site, as they unfold and in my studio. Right now, my life is a beautiful mix of graduation caps, blueberry fields and our very first grand baby. As we grow our family farm and wedding venue, Heirloom Fields, I’m staying in the New Orleans, Baton Rouge and Northshore areas. Getting married at Heirloom Fields? From the Wedding to your Walls

I’m a Louisiana artist through and through. My goal is to catch those 'blink-and-you-miss-it' moments and turn them into something you’ll actually want to live with—not just a formal portrait, but a memory you can pass down. Whether I’m painting live on-site or back in my home studio, I’m focused on the light, the mood, and the people.

Places I’ve Painted

I’ve been lucky enough to set up my easel at some beautiful local spots like Houmas House, Heirloom Fields Farm, Baton Rouge Country Club, The Country Club of Louisiana and the LSU Botanical Garden. I love the specific 'Louisiana feel' of our venues, and I bring that same vibe into every piece I create at home.

A Painting That Tells Your Story

I’m Jessica, and I love catching the movement and the 'real' feeling of a wedding day. Whether I’m at my easel in the middle of your reception or working in my studio among the blueberry fields, my goal is the same: to give you something more than just a picture. I want to give you an heirloom that actually feels like the day you said 'I do.

The Live Painting Experience

There’s something special about watching a painting come to life while the music is playing and the party is going. It’s not a performance—it’s just me, quietly capturing the atmosphere while your guests peek over my shoulder. You get to celebrate, and I get to make sure the feeling of the night stays on the canvas long after the last dance.

What’s Included with Every Painting

Whether we start at the wedding or in the studio, every piece is handled with the same care.

  • A Focus on the Two of You: I make sure the facial details and "the look" are just right.

  • The Medium: Professional oils on gallery-wrapped canvas. It arrives ready to hang, no frame needed.

  • My Signature Style: Loose, painterly brushwork that keeps the energy of the day alive on the canvas.

  • Your Choice of Moment: You pick the scene—the vows, the first dance, or that quiet walk-out moment.

  • A Sense of Place: I love weaving in the details that make your venue unique, like the specific light in the trees or the way your flowers looked.

  • The Best of Both Worlds: Most paintings involve a mix of on-site work and quiet studio time. I include a wrap-up session in my studio to polish the details, and I offer up to two revisions to make sure it’s exactly what you’ve been dreaming of.

  • Built to Last: Once the oil is dry, I apply a professional varnish so the colors stay vibrant for your grandkids to see.

  • Home Delivery: I’ll hand-deliver it locally or ship it safely to your door (usually within 3-4 weeks).

A Thoughtful, Seamless Experience

I love working alongside your photographers and planners to make sure the painting process feels like a natural part of the day, not a distraction. My goal is to stay tucked away at my easel—keeping things calm, respectful, and easygoing so everyone can stay focused on the celebration.

Whether you’re looking for a live painting, a custom studio piece, or just want to follow along with the latest from the farm, I’d love to hear from you.

Want me to add some additional details like the cake, the pets, or even a family member? I can do that!  Contact me to discuss details and make sure that this is the right fit for you.

Looking to entertain your guests?

Want to capture the emotion of your celebration and have a family heirloom created?

You're in the right place!

A live wedding painting is more than just a portrait. It's an instant masterpiece to treasure for years to come. I strive to capture the ambiance, emotion, and detail of the moment in a loose expressionistic style.

I love painting with loose brush strokes, with a focus on the bride and groom! Once I add venue highlights, family, the wedding party, and guests in an impressionistic style, you will have a family heirloom that will be cherished for generations.

All of my paintings are on stretched canvas that I paint with special oil paints that do not require any toxic solvents. This allows the beauty and longevity of oil paints without the fumes.
